The Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives

Located on the lower level of the Delaware Art Museum, the Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives houses over 30,000 volumes. This non-circulating research collection includes monographs, exhibition catalogs, periodicals, reference works, and extensive vertical files relating to individual artists. The scope of the Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives reflects the Delaware Art Museum’s permanent collection.

Library Hours

The Library is open by appointment to visitors Wednesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To schedule an appointment or submit an information request, please call 302.351.8540 or e-mail rdieleuterio@delart.org.

Adopt-a-Book for Our Library

The Museum’s Helen Farr Sloan Library & Archives is asking supporters to sponsor books for adoption. Donors who pay the cost of a book will be identified with a bookplate. The following titles are available for adoption:

Ford Madox Brown: A Catalogue Raisonné ($200)
Illustrated Periodicals of the 1860s ($75)
Maxfield Parrish: The Masterworks ($59.50)
The Journals of Grace Hartigan, 1951 – 1955 ($20.00)
