Supply list— Mixed Media: Metal Clay, Polymer Clay & Dichroic Glass
Instructor: Nancy Wambach & Denise Pettit
There will be enough tools and supplies for the first class so if you do not have these items you can wait to see what you want.
Precious metal clay, polymer clay and glass will be available for purchase from instructors.
The following are some items you may want for the class.
Please mark tools to identify them:
- Nail polish
- Sharpie
- Extruder for clay (recommended: Makins’ Professional)
- Ounce of Polymer clay (white or scrap)
- Salon Boards: all grits
- Small plastic containers that seal tightly: old film canisters
- Playing cards: ~10, preferably plastic coated
- Sturdy Plastic cards…..like credit cards but without raised letters
- Small paint brush..good enough not to shed bristles
- Small cutting tool…Exacto, etc.
- Small roller
If you have done polymer or clay work, most of these tools are useful:
- Clay working tools, shapers,etc.
- Wax working tools
- Rubber stamps
- Texture sheets
If you have some open clay from another class, get it out to see if it has dried out. If so, cut it in small pieces and add a bit of distilled water and wrap up. Check every day and work out the lumps, adding more water as needed. If it has mold, cut out the mold before adding water.
