Supply list—Modeling & Drawing the Figure: From Clay to 2D Media

Instructor: Bennett Siegel

The following are suggestions for a great range of materials. The more you have, the more you will try. Bring what you can. Add to your kit as you go.

  • Compressed charcoal
  • White tempera paint
  • Conte crayon
  • Ink
  • Graphite sticks
  • White glue
  • Decent weight drawing paper, NOT newsprint
  • Masking tape to secure drawings to boards (must)
(Tip: painters tape is expensive, you can give plain cheap masking tape a press on your jeans to de-tack it)
  • Clay available for purchase in class
  • Bring Plywood boards for clay
  • Plastic trash bag to cover and store
