Cakes on view all day Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4
In honor of Howard Pyle's birthday (March 5), the Museum has invited regional pastry chefs to create three-dimensional cakes inspired by Pyle's paintings and characters. Participating pastry chefs include Liz Marden from Gourmet Cakes and Desserts, Inc., Jess Mogardo, the Corporate Pastry Chef at Garces Restaurant Group in Philadelphia, and Michele Mitchell, the Hotel du Pont’s Executive Pastry Chef.
Free birthday cake will be served at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 in honor of the occasion. |
