Spring Break Art Adventures
Registration begins February 3.
March 26 – 30 (5 days), 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Ages 6 – 10
Full Week: $250 Family PLUS Members & above / $300 Non-Members
Individual Days: $50 Family PLUS Members & above / $60 Non-Members
Spring Break Art Adventures is a great way for kids to have fun and stay creatively active during spring break! Each day will focus on a new art theme such as portraits, color, or stories in art. Finding inspiration in the Museum’s permanent collection, kids will explore each theme through a variety of projects using different materials to create their own artwork. Don’t miss this year’s exciting camp experience! |

Summer Art Camp
Family PLUS Member Registration begins January 25.
Registration for all other members and Non-Members begins February 3.
The Delaware Art Museum’s summer art program for children ages 6 – 12 provides professional instruction and a creative experience in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Young artists will explore drawing, painting, ceramics, and more in the Bank of America Education Wing studios, the Museum’s galleries, and the Copeland Sculpture Garden. Camp is full-day from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Session 1: The Great Outdoors
June 18 – 29
$500 for Family PLUS Members & above / $550 Non-Members
Campers will use landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, wilderness, poetry, and even the Museum’s outdoor sculptures, for inspiration during this session. Art activities will explore the use of natural materials, watercolors, and clay.
Session 2: The Artist’s Toolbox
July 2 – 13 (no camp July 4)
$450 for Family PLUS Members & above / $500 Non-Members
Fill your artist tool box with the elements of art! Campers will look at and create artworks exploring the process of art-making. Elements such as shape, form, pattern, color, and line will be discovered through fun and exciting class projects, such as colorful printmaking and imaginative clay sculpture.
Session 3: Animal Tales
July 16 – 27
$500 for Family PLUS Members & above / $550 Non-Members
Take an adventurous trip through the Museum’s collections! Explore animals in artwork, such as Deborah Butterfield’s Riot and Abbott Handerson Thayer’s The Old Lion. Afterwards, create fanciful or ferocious artworks inspired by animals -- both real and imagined. Projects include ceramic figures, cut paper designs, and roaring masks.
Session 4: Faces and Places
July 30 – August 10
$500 for Family PLUS Members & above / $550 Non-Members
Campers will find inspiration in the Museum’s collection while making their own artwork full of faces and places! Learn the art of portraits and landscapes through drawing, painting, printing, and ceramics. Projects will include masks, imagined landscapes, self portraits, and more.

The Red Apple Fund
The Delaware Art Museum is pleased to offer grants for Summer Art Camp through the Red Apple Fund for Student Enrichment. Full funding for tuition will be awarded to those who receive a Summer Art Camp Grant. All children registering for camp are eligible for scholarships unless an applicant has received funding from the Red Apple Fund in the past 6 months.
