The Delaware Art Museum is a private, not-for-profit arts organization. It is supported by earned and contributed income and is not owned or controlled by the State of Delaware. The Museum is best known for its large collection of British Pre-Raphaelite art, works by Wilmington-native Howard Pyle and fellow American illustrators, and urban landscapes by John Sloan and his circle.

Holidays: The Delaware Art Museum is closed on New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
Admission
Museum admission includes entry into all galleries, including the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. There is no additional fee for any exhibitions.
Rates: Adults: $12.00 Seniors (60+): $10.00 Students (w/valid ID): $6.00 Youth (ages 7-18): $6.00 Children (6 and under): Free Families(up to 2 adults and 4 youth): $25.00
Free Sundays: Admission to the Museum is free to all visitors on Sundays.

Travelers to Wilmington: As a sponsor of the Delaware Art Museum, Amtrak offers a 30% companion rail fare discount for train travelers coming to Wilmington.
