Mixed Media Painting and Collage
Students will design, paint, and collage an image inspired by their own nature photo. Incorporating handmade and found papers with drawing and painting techniques will create visual interest in these unique works of art. This is a great follow up to the gelatin plate printmaking workshop.
Supply List
- Museum will provide an 8” x 10” canvas and various acrylic paints (students are welcome to bring their favorite acrylic paints too)
- Preferred drawing tools (pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, pastels, paint pens, pigment crayons)
- Variety pack of acrylic brushes
- Acrylic gel medium
- Favorite papers and ephemera for collage (tissue, maps, tickets)
- Scissors
- Nature photo(s) for inspiration and reference
