The Delaware Art Museum is a perfect venue for an elegant black-tie affair, intimate celebration, or casual party. Our unique event spaces include a grand entrance hall, a contemporary reception space, an outdoor terrace, a sprawling sculpture garden, and a stone labyrinth. Wedding packages include:

  • Five hours of exclusive event time for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception from 6-11 pm*
  • Set up and breakdown of necessary tables and chairs**
  • Round dining tables and white padded folding chairs**
  • Specialty tables including sweetheart table, gift/card table, cake table, etc.
  • Glassware, china, and flatware**
  • Free onsite parking
  • Museum representative onsite during your event
  • One year Delaware Art Museum membership for wedding couple
  • Gorgeous photo opportunities throughout public areas in the museum and Sculpture Garden (photos in galleries must be approved in advance by your museum representative)

*Receptions can be extended to 12:00am for an additional fee.
**Larger events requiring additional tables, chairs, glassware, and flatware will have an additional rental fee.
Catering, linen, décor, florals, music, photographer, and lighting are not included.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How much do wedding packages cost & are there any minimums?
Each venue is priced separately, with fees ranging from $1,000-$2,300. During peak months, Friday and Saturday events require a minimum expenditure of $2500. Please view our venues page for current rates and capacities.

When are your peak months?
Peak months are April, May, June, September, October, November, and December. Non-peak months are January, February, March, July, and August.

Do you have any required vendors?
All food and beverage service must be handled through one of our approved caterers. Otherwise, you are welcome to use a licensed and insured vendor of your choice for services such as music, photography, florist, décor, and wedding planners.

Do you require event insurance?
Yes, in addition to all vendors being insured, we require that each event purchases day-of event insurance prior to the event date. Ask us for recommendations on where to purchase your policy!

Do you have wedding suites for getting ready?
While we are happy to allow wedding parties use our board rooms to be tucked away as guests arrive, we do not offer space for dressing or having hair and makeup done. All wedding couples and wedding party members must arrive at the museum dressed and photo ready!

Are there sound restrictions?
All outdoor amplified music must end by 10 pm and is not permitted on Sundays. Indoor receptions can play music until 11 pm.

Can more than one wedding take place on a day?
To ensure every couple has the best experience possible we only allow one wedding per day.
