The Delaware Art Museum is delighted to announce Kendall Drew Meldrum and Rosanna Arteaga-Lopenza as co-chairs of this fall’s DelArt Gala Harvest Dinner.
This year’s Gala will feature a farm-to-table fine-dining experience celebrating the exhibition Transcendent: Landscapes of the Hudson River School. Inspired by the natural poetry of autumn and the enduring legacy of Hudson River School artists, the evening will translate the exhibition’s sweeping landscapes, glowing skies, and reverence for land and light into an immersive contemporary celebration.
Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu rooted in seasonal ingredients and regional traditions as part of an unforgettable sensory experience of place, art, and community.
Meldrum’s personal and professional experiences make her especially connected to the evening’s theme. “I am honored to co-chair this fall’s DelArt Gala Harvest Dinner. Having grown up in the Hudson Valley, I feel a personal connection to the landscapes that inspired the Hudson River School, and my early career, which included eight years in the food and beverage industry, solidified me as a lifelong foodie before I moved into tech. I look forward to helping bring together this celebration of art, cuisine, and community and to making it a memorable evening for the Delaware Art Museum.”
Arteaga-Lopenza brings to the Gala a deep commitment to culture, advocacy, and community building. “Art is fundamental to my family because it inspires meaningful conversations and creates lasting shared memories. Rosanna Arteaga-Lopenza
Rossana is a Venezuelan-American from Caracas who grew up in Durham, North Carolina who is a dedicated, lifelong advocate for Latinos, Venezuelan immigrants and her Delaware community. She is presently the current president and founder of Casa de Venezuela Delaware, a non-profit dedicated to provide opportunities and spaces to the Hispanic/Latino community using the Venezuelan culture and our commonalities to promote cultural and professional development as a way of integration to the United States of America while advocating for human rights. In addition to her leadership at Casa de Venezuela, Rossana serves as one of the Board of Director of LYTE Scholar which strives to change the academic trajectory of under-represented youth by preparing middle school students to attend rigorous high school programs and then colleges, through personal mentoring, rigorous teaching, and leadership.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Rossana is a proud and active mother of three boys and loving wife to her husband, a partner at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom. In her free time Rossana enjoys art, high-school sports and spirited evenings with her friends and family.
Kendall Drew Meldrum
Kendall is a Strategic Consulting Director at Microsoft, where she has worked since 2017, leading consulting services and sales teams for Manufacturing and Mobility customers globally. Kendall began her career at Levy Restaurants, the sports and entertainment hospitality company, where she spent eight years before attending business school. Kendall holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from Cornell Tech at Cornell University.
Originally from Albany, New York, Kendall moved to the area full-time in 2023. She and her husband Sam, a native Delawarean, have a blended family of five children, ranging in age from 2 to 14. Kendall currently serves on the Vestry of Christ Church and on the Board of Trustees of Christ Church Episcopal Preschool. In her free time, she enjoys wine tasting — Sonoma and Champagne are her favorite regions — and perfecting the art of the martini at home.
