Eligibility:
All artists must be Delaware residents between the ages of 6-19.
Submission Requirements:
All works must be 12″ x 12″. No 3D works or photographs permitted. One submission per artist. The works are encouraged to have a theme of love, hope, social distancing, or pandemic safety measures. Be creative! Have fun! Experiment!
Submission Process:
The online form must be completed before drop off. After the form is completed, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided with a registration number. Please write this number, along with the artists full name and age, on the back of your work prior to drop off. Designated drop off is at a box near the Fusco Hall Visitor Services Desk every day between July 20th and August 17 during Museum hours, Wednesday through Sunday 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM with extended hours on Thursday to 8 pm.
Judging:
Judging will take place from August 17th to August 20th. Five winners will be chosen in each age group: ages 6yo-13yo and ages 14yo-19yo. Winners will be chosen based on most creative and effective conveyance of the suggested theme. Winners will be sent a notification email as well as a gift card to the artist’s address provided on the form. Scans of the works will be displayed at the Delaware Art Museum in late August.The originals will be retained by the Museum for use in the 12 x 12 Student Exhibition in 2021.
Masks are required while in the Museum and abide by CDC COVID-19 safety guidelines at all times.
