The Blues Brothers (1980) Rated R. The most devastating team since nitro and glycerine.
After his release from prison, Jake (John Belushi) reunites with his brother, Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) — collectively known as the “Blues Brothers.” Jake’s first task is to save the orphanage the brothers grew up in from closing, by raising $5,000 to pay back taxes. The two are convinced they can earn the money by getting their old band back together. As they set off on their “mission from God” they seem to make more enemies along the way. Will they manage to come up with the money in time? Featuring the talents of Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Cab Calloway, Donald Dunn, John Candy and Carrie Fisher, this is a film you won’t want to miss!
