Artist Talk and Book Signing, 5:30 pm in Auditorium

New Jersey native T. Eric Monroe offers a vivid look at the 90s hip-hop scene in Moments Captured: T. Eric Monroe. His photography, developed while skateboarding through New York City, captures the raw, street-smart energy of 90s hip hop. Monroe’s career began in 1988 when Thrasher magazine recognized his work, and by the early 90s, he was known for photographing hip-hop legends like Tupac Shakur, Nas, and Erykah Badu. His powerful images celebrate and preserve the legacy of this transformative era. Join the artist and curator Margaret Winslow in the auditorium to discuss his work and its relevance in shaping our understanding of this culturally and socially pivotal period. Throughout the evening, Monroe will sign copies of his book Rare & Unseen Moments of 90’s Hip Hop.

After her sold-out performance at our November DelArt Nights event, Maya Belardo, Wilmington’s “Princess of Jazz’” is returning for a special meet and greet following the release of her new EP Better Days. She will have signed copies of her EP and other merchandise available for purchase.
