Join us each month for DelArt Nights, where art, community, and creativity come alive in fresh and exciting ways. Taking place on select Thursday evenings, October to April, each event features music and an immersive arts and culture experience—from engaging gallery experiences and performances to hands-on arts and crafts. Guests can enjoy a festive atmosphere with plenty of opportunities for socializing, along with a full bar and delicious food available for purchase. Every DelArt Night is unique, with free general admission and ever-changing cultural elements. No two nights are the same.

About John Maurice Restrepo Quartet

John Maurice Restrepo, a prolific saxophonist, is renowned for his versatility across multiple instruments, including soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones, flute, and clarinet. His career boasts leading his own groups; The John Maurce Restrepo Quartet and Trios, and the JazzCumbia Project, as well a lengthy tenure with the Welfare Poets, and collaborations with esteemed acts such as; Blitz the Ambassador, The Scofflaws, Public Enemy, Fat Cat Big Band, Diallo House Trio, Interplay Jazz Orchestra, Robert Lepley, Linda Cusumano, and Rob Murat.

A product of New York University and The City College of New York (B.F.A 2020), Restrepo has cultivated his craft under the mentorship of jazz luminaries including Arturo O’Farrill, Ralph Lalama, Rich Perry, Ron McClure, David Murray, and Ray Santos.

Leading his own quartet, Restrepo graces stages across Long Island, NYC, and the tri-state area, including renowned venues such as Fat Cat, Treme, Club Bonafide, Flute Bar, and many others. Establishing and nurturing a weekly residency and jam session at Tap and Barrel from 2015 to 2021, John Maurice and his Quartet have solidified their status as one of Long Island’s most dynamic jazz ensembles. Currently, John enjoys regular performances with his quartet and trios at Ornithology, Primi Italian Steakhouse, Fiction, NewsRoom and other notable venues. For more intimate gig and settings, he performs his regular duo gigs at Madiran the Wine Bar in East Setauket, and private events like weddings as well as various other fine establishments and events.

Inspired by the numerous exceptional music educators who shaped his early musical journey from preschool through college, Restrepo devotes a substantial portion of his time to teaching flute, clarinet, and saxophone. He passionately shares his extensive knowledge with future generations through online lessons on platforms such as Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and Google Meet.
