DelArt Readers – Everything She Touched by Marilyn Chase
Join us! The DelArt Readers, a community-led book club, meets monthly to discuss, debate, celebrate, and share both works of fiction and non-fiction. Our selections are focused on art, artists, and/or the artistic process either in general or in response to the Museum’s collections or exhibits. In addition to our interest in art and artists, we also seek to create a sense of community, conversation, and connection.
Join us in-person at DelArt on April 30 for Everything She Touched by Marilyn Chase. The story of Japanese-American sculptor Ruth Asawa, who wielded imagination and hope in the face of intolerance. Born in California in 1926 she and her family were sent to an internment camp during WWII, she attended groundbreaking Black Mountain College and then developed her signature forms – abstract looped-wire sculptures.
