DelArt Sails South returns to the Lewes Yacht Club, located on Delaware Bay with beautiful sunset views. Last year’s event brought together over 200 people in Sussex County who support the arts and want to play a part in building the Delaware Art Museum’s presence in Southern Delaware.
Located in Wilmington, DelArt is the state’s largest art museum and will serve more than 100,000 people in 2025. Originally created in 1912 to honor the renowned illustrator and Wilmington-native, Howard Pyle, art that was produced, exhibited, and collected in Delaware is the backbone of the Museum’s permanent collection of more than 13,000 works.
This year’s DelArt Sails South will feature Delaware-based artists who will be on hand to discuss their work. The evening will include the opportunity to meet DelArt staff and volunteers and will feature live music, a silent auction, and much more. The reception will feature food stations, hors d’oeuvres, and wine, beer, and specialty cocktails.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support DelArt programs and events in Sussex County.
