Special Guests Carolanne Deal of Delaware Queer History and Jackson Salasky, President of PFLAG’s Wilmington/Northern Delaware Chapter will be joining the festivities for the day along with several other surprise guests and organizations!
Highlights of the Day:
Carolanne Deal (she/they) is a museum professional, queer historian and educator based in Delaware. She was the lead researcher on the LGBTQ+ History of Delaware: We Have Always Been Here, Research & Digital Engagement Project. They are also the founder of @DelawareQueerHistory on Instagram where they share the untold, or previously covered up, stories of Delaware’s queer community.
Jackson Salasky is the President of PFLAG’s Wilmington/Northern Delaware Chapter and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. Jackson started his activism endeavors by adding his voice to both local and national protests and marches. Presently, he serves as co-advisor to Colors, a gender sexuality alliance at a local community college. A tireless advocate for equality, he is honored to be a member of his employer’s Equity Committee. He actively leads LGBTQ+ professional development for colleagues and brings inclusive education to local organizations.
Noah Duckett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the State of Delaware. Noah is passionate about working with LGBTQIA individuals to navigate positive coming out experiences, as well as social, medical, legal, and emotional transitions. He works closely with major LGBT organizations, medical practices, and educational institutions throughout the country to offer clinical consults and education, and is the author of the first and only guide to legally transitioning in Delaware. Noah is the Co-Founder of Orgullo Delaware, the only organization focused on serving Delaware LGBTQIA+ Latines and their families, and the Delaware Sexuality and Gender Collective. Through these organizations, Noah provides vital resources to the transgender community in Delaware, including connection to pro bono legal resources, meal support during recovery from gender affirming surgery, access to free gender affirming clothing, and continued education, training, and programming around gender and sexuality. As an inaugural member of Delaware’s LGBTQ Commission, Noah uses his clinical and advocacy experience to inform policy decisions that best serve trans Delawareans.

The Emerald Lighthouse, a program under Rising Hope Therapy, offers affirming therapeutic services and support groups for LGBTQ+ youth. It serves as a guiding light helping teens and their families navigate identity, community, and emotional well-being in a safe, inclusive environment.
