In this exciting gallery talk, we welcome Dr. Shannon Vittoria from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Dr. Vittoria is Associate Curator of American Art and an expert on the 19th-century etching revival. In conjunction with the exhibition Inked Impressions: Etchings in the Age of Whistler, Dr. Vittoria will speak about how key etching techniques—many pioneered by James McNeill Whistler—were disseminated from Britain to the United States.
