Enjoy the Delaware Art Museum’s new Jazz Series hosted by Raye Jones Avery with a jazz piano concerts by regional jazz musicians Dave and Alex Posmontier. Playing on the Museum’s Steinway Grand Piano, performances will consist of the artists’ favorite works and stories from their lives. Each 1.5-hour performance includes an artist chat led by Raye Jones Avery.

Dave Posmontier has been playing keyboard since the age of seven and has played professionally for the past 50 years. Currently, Dave is playing, composing, arranging, teaching, and participating in educational jazz concerts, workshops and clinics in schools throughout the area. Dave can be heard on several CD’s of Philadelphia area jazz artists and in 2010, released a CD, “Posterity” featuring his original compositions and arrangements. Alex Posmontier is a Philadelphia area based pianist with international performance experience and a growing list of studio credits as a session player, arranger, producer and teacher.
Alex’s strong background in classical and jazz has provided him with opportunities such as performing at the Montreux and Istanbul Jazz Festivals, as well as playing alongside notable musicians like Duane Eubanks and Chris Brubeck, among many other Philadelphia greats. alexposmontier.com
