MLK Day of Service
Join us for a morning of reflection, education, and action in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. On January 20, 10 am – 2 pm, we will come together as a community to celebrate Dr. King’s values of service, unity, and social change through engaging activities, inspiring performances, and collective action.

- Opening Remarks & Land Acknowledgement
- Poster Creation with 7God: 7GOD The Artivist, a visionary contemporary artist hailing from the vibrant city of Wilmington, Delaware, has carved a unique niche in the art world with his captivating creations. Renowned for his spiritual art pieces, which he aptly refers to as his “”frequency language,”” 7God’s work serves as a powerful reflection of his journey as a mental health advocate.
- School Supply Drive: Help us support local schools by donating essential supplies for students in need.
- Music & Performances: Enjoy uplifting performances by the Wilmington Children’s Chorus and Christina Cultural Arts Center drumline and dancers.
- Time Capsule Presentation: Contribute your thoughts and hopes to a time capsule capturing the spirit of our community.
- Grocery Giveaway: Free produce provided by Delaware Urban Greens
- Keynote Address: Ali Shah Watson Founder and Executive Director, Culture Restoration Project Inc.
- Free Tours: 12:30 and 1:30 pm – Explore the Jazz Age Illustration exhibition with a tour with our museum Educators
Attendees are encouraged to participate in our school supply drive to benefit students in the Brandywine and Red Clay School Districts. Supplies such as pencils, glue sticks, backpacks, tissues, and more are greatly appreciated.
