Ronin Ali has performed all over the world, including in Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta, Germany, Kuwait, Italy, and more. He has opened up for artists such as The Fugees and Erykah Badu. Ronin Ali has also sung background for Philadelphia’s legendary powerhouse, Lady Alma, was part of the short-lived reunion of Change (which featured its lead vocalist, the late Luther Vandross), and recorded a song with the late jazz giant Mulgrew Miller. Most notably, he has been the main drummer for Rock ‘n’ Roll vocalist and guitarist Ghettosongbird. He also performs with the party band Jellyroll and has performed at the White House in the United States of America twice between 2007 and 2008. Ronin Ali has sung alongside songstress Carol Riddick and has sat in with the legendary funk/world-music band Mandrill on percussion. You can hear Ronin on Austrian DJ and producer The Functionist’s album “The Coalitions: Part 1” on the album opener “Right There/It’s Right Here,” as well as on two other tracks with female emcee Toni Blackman, named U.S. Ambassador of Hip-Hop. He has also performed in Las Vegas at TAKE THE STAGE, Sherry Gordy’s weekly show, daughter of Motown founder Berry Gordy.
