Sculpture Garden Happy Hours are lively, relaxed evenings filled with music, creativity, and community. Enjoy live performances, a cash bar, local food trucks, Kaffeina Café, lawn games, and various arts and crafts vendors. Some evenings feature special themes or unique interdisciplinary art experiences alongside the live music.

We’re proud to partner with the People’s Festival: Tribute to Bob Marley to celebrate its legacy of arts and culture. Join us for a special Sculpture Garden Happy Hour featuring live music from Spokey Speaky, Caya Sol Reggae Soul Band, and DJ Prez Intl., along with traditional Jamaican and international food vendors such as the Mayne Dish and Karibbean Delight, artisan offerings, and art activities for children and families. Hosted by Mama Genny, this evening brings the community together through music, food, and creativity.

As we honor the legacy of the festival, we’ll also celebrate the opening of The People’s Gallery.

In the case of bad weather, events may be moved indoors or canceled. Please register or visit our website for the latest updates.

About the Performers

Spokey Speaky: A band out of Wilmington, DE that aims to spread the positive vibes of reggae music through its soulful, high energy live performances. Playing a wide range of reggae classics from the old school to the new, the goal of the members is to satisfy and entertain reggae fans, while enlightening those who may not have been exposed to the genre otherwise. We have had the honor of opening for many of reggae’s living legends including Toots & The Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, Barrington Levy, Beres Hammond, Luciano, Ky-Mani Marley, Easy Star All-Stars, Sister Carol, I-Wayne, The Green, Giant Panda Guerrilla Dub Squad, KRS-One and many more. We have also had the honor of being the local reggae representatives at Wilmington’s own People’s Festival: A Tribute to Bob Marley for five years running. With an emphasis on emotion and musicianship, Spokey Speaky delivers a live performance that refuses to be ignored and simply cannot be replicated.

Caya Sol Reggae Soul Band is a group of talented musicians from different parts of the world who come together at @jamlandstudio(Wilmington) to create positive vibes to share with the world. We have been together for over 4 years now and are just starting to scratch the surface. We have two lead singers, male and female. Steve “Wale” Peterson (Nigeria) and Shannon “Shan Bam” Palmer (Jamaica) are both recording artists. Their harmonies are dynamic and full of rich culture. We have two guitarist Tom Cleary (Pa), and Earl Wilt (New England) and they are fantastic musicians. On bass is Daryl Yancey (Delaware) and on drums is Joel McDonald (Jamaica). The group has played in many festivals, restaurants, private & corporate events in various cities from New Jersey and New York to Delaware and Maryland. The mix of roots rock reggae and R&B is something you’d have to experience live. Guaranteed to get you on your feet and having a good time.
Prez Intl was born in Maypen, Parish Clarendon Jamaica and raised in the states. DJ JB specializes in playing many genres of music such as reggae, dancehall, hip hop, Afro beats and R&B. Prez Intl. is the official DJ for the People’s Festival.
