Ronin Ali Hollins, known the world of art entertainment as Ronin Ali, is a well seasoned artist & entertainer. A native of Northern New Jersey (Essex County), Ronin Ali started singing and writing songs as a little boy. Though he started alto saxophone at age 9, he started his professional career as a Page-Turner for operatic baritone vocalist Lonnie Cameron. He then enrolled and performed with the Newark Boys Chorus School from 1986-88.

Ronin went on to Highschool in Easton, P.A. He not only played alto saxophone in the Easton Area High School band, marching band & orchestra; he played and studied in the school’s Percussion Lab as well. He became a recording artist for 80 East Records back 1994-95 and has since worked with many musicians and a few celebrities.

Aside from his solo career & performing with Jellyroll The Band, Ronin Ali has performed with other notables such as Ronnie Laws, Mark Skeete, Ghettosongbird, Toni Blackman and the Jungle Brothers. Ronin Ali is also an advocate of EDUTAINMENT (education through entertainment) so he has been doing just that through his program DRUMS & LIFE; teaching people the history of percussion instruments, how to play them and the history of the instruments. Ronin Ali not only enjoys playing music, but he loves seeing people understand what he shows them and put it into practice.
