About Liz Watkins

From her Indiana birthplace to her Delaware upbringing, Liz Watkins’ musical journey began at twelve, evolving through piano, drums, and ultimately finding its voice in the guitar. A self-taught guitarist, she skillfully blends techniques gleaned from masters like James Taylor, Jobim, and Chet Atkins, while her songwriting and vocal delivery are shaped by a broad spectrum of influences, including Billy Joel, Burt Bacharach, Vince Gill, Stevie Wonder, and Brandon Flowers. Liz’s extensive tours across continents have infused her songwriting with a global perspective, inviting listeners on sonic voyages inspired by her insatiable curiosity and travels. Her diverse repertoire effortlessly navigates genres from bossa nova and jazz to country, pop, and Motown. Currently dividing her time between the Philadelphia area and the south of France, Liz remains deeply committed to her first love: crafting songs that resonate and transport.
