DelArt welcomes new colleagues to Art & Learning

DelArt is thrilled to welcome several new colleagues to the Art and Learning Department. Curatorial Assistant Katherine Feldkamp will be supporting two major exhibitions between 2026 and 2027. Katherine graduated with a master’s degree from Department of Art History at the University of Delaware this past spring, and prior to her time in that program, was the Research Assistant for the Decorative Arts and Design Department at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Her focus in art history is on the long nineteenth century as well as the Atlantic World, and she is especially interested in studying the intersections of gender and identity in visual culture.

Exhibitions Registrar Rachel Fugate will aid the department in the planning of several special exhibitions over the next five years. She joins DelArt from Lehigh University Art Galleries where she was the Collections Manager and Registrar. Previously she was the Collections Curator at the DeVos Art Museum of Northern Michigan University. While having researched and managed diverse collections in smaller academic institutions, she is excited about assisting with upcoming large-scale exhibitions at DelArt. Rachel holds an MA in Art History from Syracuse University where she focused on British art of the long eighteenth century.

The Emerging Curator Platform welcomes Charlotte Kelly for the 2025-2026 academic year. Charlotte is currently pursuing dual degrees in Art History and History with an Islamic Studies Minor at the University of Delaware. She looks forward to the chance to shape public engagement with contemporary art in Wilmington through this innovative program. The Emerging Curator Platform continues in its third year as an awarded fellowship program subsidized by John William Gallery and developed in collaboration between John William Gallery, the Delaware Art Museum, 1313 North Market, and the Museum Studies & Public Engagement Program at the University of Delaware.
