For artists interested in exploring their inner voice and getting in touch with their creativity, this class is for you! Students will learn the basics of acrylic painting alongside expressive brushwork and color application.

  • Acrylic (fast drying) or water based “open” acrylics paint (slower drying)     
    • Titanium White, large tube     
    • Black, large tube     
    • Cadmium Red     
    • Cadmium Yellow     
    • Cadmium Orange     
    • Permanent Green or Viridian     
    • Pthalo Green     
    • Ultramarine Blue     
    • Dioxide Purple     
    • Ultramarine Blue     
    • Quinacridone Violet     
    • Yellow Ochre     
    • Raw Sienna     
    • Burnt Sienna     
    • Burnt Umber     
  • sealable painting palette      
  • palette knife     
  • rags (natural cloth is best)     
  • canvas (18”x24” or larger)     
  • brushes (round bristles, flat bristles - big and small)     
  • matte medium (acrylic)     
  • jars for water or thinner     
  • plastic cups with lids for paint storage (approximately the size of baby food containers)
