Supply List

Paper for monotypes and etching: a heavy-weight cotton paper that can be soaked, 250+ gsm / 66+ lb (Rives, Somerset, Stonehenge, Hahnemuhle or others)

Paper for linoleum relief: lighter-weight paper, 90 - 200 gsm / 24-54 lb (Masa, Hosho, Rives lightweight or others.) Heavier papers (250 gsm / 90 lb) can be used on our etching press but are harder to use if you are printing by hand at home.

Plates for dry-point etching: Akua printmaking plates made of .030 PETG transparent plastic and/or recycled plastic from food containers, any size

Blocks for linoleum relief: UNMOUNTED linoleum, battleship grey, any size

Recommended relief cutting tools: student grade cutting tools are provided, but you may prefer to have a better carving set. I recommend the Shinwa PowerGrip wood carving set from Woodcraft with the Flexcut Slipstrop Sharpening kit.
